Is it really a flat rate?
Yes. Creator is $15 per month and Studio is $49 per month regardless of how much you generate within the plan limits. Free is $0 with the Kokoro engine unlimited. There are no per-character, per-minute, or per-generation charges on top.
What counts as usage toward my plan limits?
Premium engine minutes (Gemini Flash, Grok Voice, MAI Voice 2, Zonos) count toward your monthly allocation. The free Kokoro engine does not count - it is unlimited on every plan, and unlimited text to speech explains exactly how. The Creator plan includes about 10 hours of premium engine time each month; Studio includes about 30.
Are any voices or engines locked to higher plans?
No. All five engines and every voice are available on every plan, including Free. Plans differ on how much premium-engine time you get each month, not on which engines you can use: a higher plan is more volume, never better models hidden behind a paywall. The plans and billing guide says it in full.
Do I own the audio I generate?
Yes. Every generation is yours to keep, edit, and ship commercially worldwide. There is no watermark on any paid plan (Free tier has no watermark either on Kokoro output). You own what you make.
Can I export the audio files?
Yes. Every generation can be exported as MP3. Paid plans include WAV export. Files live in your library and can be downloaded any time - they are not deleted when your plan renews.
What happens when I hit the free plan cap?
The free plan gives you about 10 premium engine minutes per month. When those are used, you can still generate unlimited audio with the Kokoro engine at no cost. You will be prompted to upgrade if you want more premium engine time.
Does Cantari Scribe dictation cost extra?
No. Scribe, our dictation app for Windows, is included on every plan and shares the same allowance: a minute of dictation counts like a minute of premium speech. There is no separate subscription and no per-word meter.
